Zelensky in Damascus, meets with Syrian leader: Agreement on cooperation in the field of security and strengthening economic stability in the region

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Damascus, where he met with Syrian leader Ahmed al-Shara.

During this visit, Zelensky announced that an agreement was reached to improve cooperation in the field of security, as well as to strengthen economic and food stability in the region.

"We agreed to work together to ensure greater security and opportunities for the development of our societies. We discussed the situation in the region and the prospects for its improvement, as well as the circumstances of Russia's war against Ukraine. I am grateful for the support," he said.

According to the Ukrainian public service Suspilne, the Ukrainian president added that he has great interest in the exchange of military and security experiences between the two countries.
