Braça's candidacy for Tirana, SP official denies: Currently, the SP candidate is Manastirliu because she is proven

Alfred Muharremi, socialist advisor to the Municipality of Tirana, invited to the "Terminal" studio by Aurora Sulçe, on A2CNN, stated that Erion Braçe's candidacy for the Municipality of Tirana has not created concern in the Socialist Party, but added that Ogerta Manastirliu is supported by the SP because she is "proven both politically and administratively."

"Mr. Braçe has a very long political career. He is one of the oldest deputies of the Socialist Party, he has been a deputy for 30 years, he knows very well what parliamentary life means, he knows very well where the concerns of citizens are, he was the most voted deputy in the Tirana District. He knows very well where all the problems of local government, but also of central government, lie. He is a legitimate candidacy, in my opinion, for the aspiration like any consolidated political figure to lead Tirana. He has not created any concern because it is absolutely better when there is a competition within the Socialist Party. The largest body of the Socialist Party, which is the National Assembly, will decide whether this candidacy will be embraced or not ," Muharremi initially said.

"Currently, as we speak, the candidate for the Municipality of Tirana is Ogerta Manastirliu. The reason has been explained by both the chairman of the Socialist Party and the National Assembly of the Socialist Party. She is a candidate for the sole reason that at the head of the Municipality of Tirana, a person with both political and administrative experience is needed. And for these two very important components, Manastirliu is the best combination. She has led, starting from the Municipality of Tirana, with social policies, continuing with the leadership of the QSUT and as Minister of Health, but also Minister of Education, where she has achieved success in terms of management", added Muharremi.
