Edi Rama should be recognized for the 'merit' of introducing crime

The relationship between politics and the underworld is not new in Albania. Despite the efforts in the past, politics has often been lured by the world of crime, due to the concept that exists in this country to keep power at all costs, and criminal contingents have long been seen as vote barns.

It is an undeniable fact that with the arrival of Edi Rama in power, organized crime went to another stage, having its representatives in the Parliament of Albania and in local government.
Characters with a dark criminal past managed to enter the Assembly and present themselves as legislators.
The merit of this thing belongs only to Edi Rama and the Socialist Party.

Although the decriminalization law and now the Special Prosecutor's Office have dismantled as many opportunities as they had by uprooting these links, it is still difficult to completely disconnect them.
This, above all, for the very context in which the country is today and a long tradition, which cannot be broken in a short time.

From direct representation, crime has reconceptualized the political approach, passing the baton to their daughters, sons or people, while they themselves stay in the background, where they benefit from tenders, public works or become strategic investors, as a result of constant pressure and the relationship that they have with the head of the government, Edi Rama.

Of course, people all over Albania know about these connections, but, because of the small country, the daily relationships and the great fear that exists, they are totally surrendered to the dark world of crime.

It is clear that crime cannot be fought either by marching or by protests, but a great will is needed to root out the links with the criminal world, drawing up a clear political strategy and program for breaking these links.

Recently, although not on the same scale as the government, Edi Ramë and the SP, at the launch of the "Foltor" by Sali Berisha, people close to him, former senior police officers, were seen in various cities of Albania. of the state, who, together with contingents from the criminal world who cooperate on a daily basis with the power of the SP, were involved in the organization and preparations of the "Foltor" meetings at that time.

This is an undeniable fact and a wake-up call about how crime often changes color, looking at the narrow interests it can benefit from.

Therefore, only a strong political will, a surgical separation from the dark world of crime and a policy that puts the interests of the people at the center and not of its clients, is the final solution to give politics its role and function, separated once and for all from suspicious and criminal connections.
