In the case of Lulzim Basha, who was an 80-year-old who not only did not benefit the DP, but was a burden to it, Basha should have told America: “Between you and Berisha, I choose Berisha.” While Zelensky, who was trying to preserve his state and the territorial integrity of his country, was wrong to ask for US guarantees.
So for Berisha's supporters, Berisha's fate is more important than the DP's relationship with the US!
But today, it seems that their rhetoric has completely changed. All their hope is in the US. Every day they make up stories to convince the citizens that America loves and will support them and only them. So now, America has magically become vital and very important for Berisha and his rise to power.
During Basha's time, America was treated like Russia and since it had declared Berisha persona non grata for corruption and other things, it was attacking our existence. Then Berisha's supporters became hardened sovereignists, today they can't even go to the toilet without imagining whether they have permission from America.
