Since yesterday, Albanian politics has entered the final phase of undoing. If we draw a parallel with the world of animals, the three clans that ruled the jungle of Albanian democracy for 33 years are coming to an end. The "Three Lions" have lost power and control over our jungle. A new power with the blessing of the United States is coming to the "Three Lions" hack. This is a shameful ending, which they could hardly have imagined even in their darkest nightmares. And to think that even they themselves are not able to perceive the catastrophe, despite the fact that SPAK has opened the notebooks of sins of three decades.
Neither clan is able to grasp the new reality. In their subconscious, they continue to think that they are still all-powerful as they used to be, when they made both the sun and the rain. The unbridled money and power they had amassed over the years had convinced them that they could buy anything, even life and death. They thought of themselves as some superior beings, for whom the written laws of the state do not apply. But unfortunately for them, they are still unable to perceive the end. A skirt that is closer than the shirt they are wearing.
Albanian politics was unable to renew itself, especially the opposition of the Democratic Party. Even when it had the golden chance to painlessly break away from the past, it made the deepest regression, closing itself around the figure of Sali Berisha, a former leader whose star has set in all senses. The sick ego for eternal power did not allow him to break away from politics and enjoy retirement like all the former leaders of the Western world. In these circumstances, the chances of victory of the Albanian opposition are ZERO. Everyone in the Democratic Party knows this, but they are not worried about it. Under these conditions, the power given to them by the opposition is enough. And they seem quite content with this piece of power.
Today, the main problem of the opposition is not Edi Rama, but the fact that it is not able to unite the vote against Edi Rama. The majority of citizens do not like Edi Rama, but this majority will never vote for Sali Berisha or Ilir Meta. The opposition minority, yes. This is a terrible trap into which the three "gods" - who until yesterday were untouchable - have put the country's future.
But since yesterday the situation has been reversed.
And the "game" that was expected to be played in the spring of next year for another four years, was broken. If until yesterday the victory of Edi Rama was legitimized by the opposition of Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta, today there is no one to legitimize his victory. Under these conditions, it is impossible to find a thread of legitimacy in the upcoming election farce. And Edi Rama knows very well that the end of Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta is also his end.
No one believed that Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta would be affected. But this is already a fact. And no one can say that Edi Rama was better than Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta. And be convinced that Edi Rama is a walking prisoner.
Anything can happen, but there is no chance that Edi Rama will enjoy another mandate. It is simply impossible.
