Experts warn: These are the clothes and accessories you should not wear on a flight

Choosing what to wear for a plane trip is not only about comfort, but also about safety and health. Aviation experts warn that certain types of clothing and footwear can increase your risk in emergency situations or cause problems during long flights.
Air safety author Christine Negroni advises passengers to avoid wearing synthetic clothing, such as sports tights, as they can catch fire and stick to the skin. She says the safest choice is clothing made of cotton or other natural fibers.
Experts also recommend avoiding very tight jeans and clothing that constricts the body, as sitting for hours can impede blood circulation and increase the risk of thrombosis.
Shoes also matter. Flip-flops and high heels are not considered appropriate, as they can make movement and evacuation difficult in an emergency.
In addition to wearing contact lenses, specialists advise that people who wear contact lenses be careful, as the dry air in the aircraft cabin can cause irritation and discomfort in the eyes.
Meanwhile, portable batteries (power banks) should always be carried in hand luggage and not in checked luggage, due to the risk of overheating and fire during flight.
