International media interest in projects on the Albanian coast, linked to Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, has brought a barrage of questions to the Special Prosecutor's Office.
Media outlets such as Fox News, CNN, The New York Times, CBS News, The Times, Anadolu Agency and several others have sought confirmation whether the Special Prosecution Office is investigating tourism projects in Sazan, Zvërnec or Vjosë-Nartë, the 2024 legal changes, as well as land transactions in these areas.
In response, SPAK stressed that there is no open investigation regarding Jared Kushner or any project related to him. SPAK clarified that it has registered an investigation, but it is not related to the subject of the media questions, while due to investigative secrecy, no further details can be made public at this stage.
In one of the responses, SPAK also denied reports of the seizure of bank accounts of the Albania Land Development company, emphasizing that it has not taken such a measure.
In some cases, foreign media have also requested interviews with SPAK representatives or documents related to the investigations, but the institution has responded that, beyond public announcements and respecting the confidentiality of preliminary investigations, there is no other information to make public.
