Accused of leading the terrorist attack in Banjska, the Serbian government denies that Radoicic is in the Belgrade hospital

The Director of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian Government, Petar Petkovic, rejected the claims made by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, that the vice president of the Serbian List, Millan Radoicic, is in the military hospital in Belgrade.
"Sveçla lied that Millan Radoicic is lying in the military hospital in Belgrade," said Petkovic in a statement on September 27.
A day earlier, Minister Sveçla during an interview for Euronews Albania stated that Radoicic - who he said was a leader and participant in the attack on the Kosovo Police on September 24 in Banjska i Zveçani - "it is very likely that he is in the hospital in the military hospital in Belgrade".
Radoicic is the vice-president of Lista Serbe, the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo that enjoys the support of official Belgrade.
On September 26, Sveçla released a drone video it said showed an armed Radoicic standing in the monastery in Banjska with a group of armed men wearing military uniforms.
In Serbia, only the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, has commented on these claims, saying that the video "appears" not to have been recorded on the day when the attack took place in the north of Kosovo.
“Nuk kam asnjë informacion nëse [Radoiçiqi] është në atë video apo jo, vërtetë nuk e di”, tha Daçiq për Radio Televizionin e Serbisë më 26 shtator.
Policia e Kosovës u sulmua nga një grup i maskuar dhe i armatosur, teksa forcat e rendit po tentonin të largonin barrikadat që ishin vendosur në një rrugë në fshatin Banjskë të Zveçanit – një prej katër komunave në veri, të banuara me shumicë serbe.
Grupi i armatosur më pas u strehua në manastirin e Banjskës, prej ku gjatë gjithë të dielës u përlesh me policinë.
Nga sulmet mbeti i vrarë një polic i Kosovës dhe tre sulmues të dyshuar.
Aktualisht, katër persona janë të arrestuar për sulmet në veri. Ndaj tre prej tyre, autoritetet e drejtësisë kanë shqiptuar masën e paraburgimit prej një muaji.
Kosova e ka bërë përgjegjëse Serbinë për sulmin, ndërsa Beogradi zyrtar serbët e Kosovës.
