Osman's statements, national unity is challenged for the sake of daily politics

President Vjosa Osmani's statement made earlier this week in Washington, during which she confirmed President Trump's statements that he has prevented a possible escalation from Serbia to Kosovo "in recent weeks", has sparked debate.
Official Belgrade, which rushed to deny these claims, then switched to another narrative, which was that of "misunderstanding Trump's statements."
But debates about the veracity of the statements also began in Pristina, with security experts calling for more unity on issues of state interest.
"The very opening of the debate in Kosovo on such an issue means that we have fallen prey to Serbia's hybrid war because we are opening debates on issues that Serbia has an interest in attacking and in this way covers up the truth," says Gurakuç Kuçi, of the Octopus Institute.
In a difficult political situation, security issues, as was the case in this case, often become part of the debate.
"The truth is being attacked through political oppositions that are about daily issues. Here, daily problems among politicians in Kosovo are also affecting strategic issues that are in the interest of Kosovo. Kosovo must stop such a mindset and action," said Kuçi.
Experts say that Trump has first-hand information, while Serbia has never hidden the fact that it wants to return Kosovo.
"Regarding Grenell's statement and the statements of Serbian politicians and the press and those in Kosovo, I do not believe them, as I am inclined to believe the official statements of the US and President Osmani, who only reconfirmed what President Trump said," said Avni Islami, a security expert.
The presidency on Monday refused to comment on the attacks made against the head of this institution.
