Kosovo holds early elections today/ Over 2 million citizens head to the ballot boxes

Over 2 million citizens of Kosovo will take advantage of the opportunity to vote this Sunday, in the early parliamentary elections.
These elections were announced after the failure of the previous legislature, which failed to approve any government cabinet.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has distributed election materials for the entire territory of Kosovo, including the country's 38 municipalities. 1,999,024 citizens will be able to vote in 948 polling stations, which will include a total of 2,557 polling stations for regular voting, while another 38 centers will enable voting under special conditions.
There are 24 political entities in the race, with a total of 1,180 candidates, including 624 Albanian candidates aiming for 100 seats in the Kosovo Assembly. Entities from other communities will also compete for the 20 guaranteed seats.
The elections began at 07:00 and will last until the closing of the polling stations.
