PDK: Trial postponements for KLA leaders show politicization of the process

The announcement of the verdict for the former KLA leaders has been postponed, increasing concerns about the legal process being dragged out and prompting reactions from political entities and their supporters.
The Special Court has announced that it will take additional time to conclude the case, justifying the decision with its high complexity.
According to spokeswoman Angela Griep, the adjudicating bodies will have up to 60 additional days to prepare the decision, with the possibility of further postponement if deemed necessary.
"The conduct of this trial requires additional time due to the complexity of the case. The platoons will have up to 60 additional days to prepare the decision, and a further postponement may occur if absolutely necessary," said Special Court spokeswoman Angela Griep.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has criticized this decision, stressing that the excessive procedural deadlines are undermining trust in justice. According to the PDK, this process is moving away from the principles of a fair trial and is being influenced by political factors.
"The intersection of procedural deadlines has raised numerous concerns. The process has lost its sense of justice and has become a process influenced by political calculations," declared the Democratic Party of Kosovo, commenting on the delay in the decision.
