Berisha's lawyer reveals the names of the Democratic MPs who signed for Endri Shabani: Here are Rama's agents within the DP

Sali Berisha's lawyer, Genc Gjokutaj, has published the lists with the signatures of Democratic MPs who allegedly expressed support for Endrit Shabani's candidacy for the position of Ombudsman.
The documents, which show the names and signatures of a group of opposition MPs, from Ina Zhupa to Elda Hoti, were made public at a time when Berisha has openly accused Shabani of being in line with Prime Minister Edi Rama and that the latter is lobbying for him to take the post.
On his Facebook account, Gjokutaj, alongside the two lists, has called on the people who appear on it, inviting them to confirm whether they have really signed for Shabani, or whether it is a manipulation.
"People who see their names on these lists are invited to confirm whether they have really signed or if this is a game! Not for nothing, but Edi Rama's departure will take with him not only the SP but also his agents outside the SP!"
"Sorry to those who have not signed or have signed without thinking and are accidentally on this cursed list! This call is made by me, Genci Gjokutaj, personally and without authorization or encouragement from anyone! With legal and moral responsibility," Gjokutaj writes.
A day earlier, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha announced that the opposition would not participate in the process of electing the People's Advocate, describing it as a shameful game of the "narco-majority".
Berisha stressed that the opposition has withdrawn the signatures for all other candidacies, leaving only the names proposed by the opposition itself, including Besim Ndregjoni, Adriana Kalaja, Jola Hysaj, Aranita Brahaj, Haluci and Dardan Mustafa.
"We have candidates we trust and who meet all the criteria, but we will not participate in a farce vote. It is a primitive and low act of the government that shows its zero tolerance," said Berisha, describing Edi Rama's decision as a way to appoint a person who has no connection to the opposition, who according to him is Endrit Shabani.
The Laws Committee met yesterday where Chairman Ulsi Manja announced that six candidates have met the legal criterion of securing at least 28 MPs' signatures.
These are Adriana Kalana, who received 44 signatures; Aranita Brahaj with 35 signatures; Besim Ndregjoni with 34 signatures; Endrit Shaban with 35 signatures; Skënder Haluc with 30 signatures and Tartar Bazaj with 28 signatures, who were decided to be voted on in Thursday's plenary session.
