Trial over state reserves in Kosovo, session fails, acting Minister of Trade absent

The trial in the state reserves case has failed to begin, as the acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, was absent from the initial session.
According to her lawyer, Hajdari has changed her residential address, which may have resulted in her not accepting the summons to appear.
The other defendant, businessman Ridvan Muharremi, appeared late in the courtroom. His defense requested the declassification of the evidence.
The other two defendants, Irfan Lipovica and Hafiz Gara, also appeared at the hearing, however the initial hearing was postponed to January 13.
Acting Minister Rozeta Hajdari is charged with the criminal offense of abuse of official position that caused damage to the state of up to 3 million. Two employees of the Ministry of Trade, Hafiz Gara and Irfan Lipovica, are also accused of the same offense.
In addition, the same individuals are accused of complicity in revealing state secrets. Meanwhile, businessman Ridvan Muharremi is accused of aiding and abetting the commission of the criminal offense.
The minister and her subordinates purchased goods for state reserves in 2022 and made payments without receiving the full amount, despite the fact that the remainder was never received.
The same ones have revealed the state secret to Ridvan Muharremi, a person close to the Vetëvendosje Movement.
In this trial, the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, must also appear as a witness.
