The hearing for the "Partizani" case, where former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, are defendants, has been postponed for the umpteenth time.
It is learned that this session has been postponed due to the absence of Judge Rudina Palloj and the next one is expected to be held on December 22 at 11:00.
Upon his exit from the GJKKO, Jamarbër Malltezi described the process against him as a “political farce.” He said that for two years he has been accused of passing decisions and laws by Sali Berisha, but according to him, prosecutors have never sent anyone to court and do not have evidence or testimony to support the accusation.
Berisha's son-in-law emphasized that his family owns the land and that they are proud of the developments they have made, mentioning the settlement of 42 families, the creation of a park that he calls the largest in Tirana, as well as the construction of a kindergarten and a nursery with their own funds.
In the statement, he showed a map from 2008, which he said bears the signatures of Edi Rama and his 12 directors, claiming that the change of the property's destination was made by them. According to Malltezi, prosecutors " are afraid to call" Rama as a witness and that the law in Albania " is not equal for everyone."
"We are dealing with a political farce. Two years ago they told you that Berisha approved the Council of Ministers and laws, but the beautiful thing is that they have not taken anyone to court. They were fraudulent prosecutors. They have not taken anyone to court then or today. Today, they have no evidence, no proof. Under these conditions in science, you cannot publish a scientific article because they will laugh and mock you, let alone do a doctorate or file an indictment. These people file indictments without any evidence. Meanwhile, we are landowners
