Since 11:00, the meeting of the Socialist Parliamentary Group has been taking place, attended by socialist MPs, cabinet ministers, but also several heads of institutions such as the head of the Cadastre, Lorena Goxhobelli.
The meeting is taking place without the presence of the media, but from the footage that has emerged from inside the hall, it can be seen that Elisa Spiropali and Erion Braçe, the two most critical voices within the socialist group, are sitting at the end away from the prime minister.
Former Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali was involved in a public discussion with the head of the Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, after her absence from the parliamentary session on March 12, where Belinda Balluku's immunity was voted on. Braçe has also been critical of a number of issues, most recently the increase in oil prices at the expense of citizens.
Journalist Ergys Gjençaj has revealed details of what was discussed during the meeting. According to him, the Socialists will start a communication tour next week, which will continue until June 12, the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Party. The tour will focus on the process of Albania's integration into the EU.
This tour, he emphasized, is considered an "electoral pre-campaign", in view of the upcoming local elections in the spring of next year.
