Luciano Boçi has stated that the fragmentation of the opposition has been one of the forms in which Prime Minister Edi Rama has attacked the opposition.
During the interview on the show "This Week" on News24, Boçi emphasized that the main goal remains the overthrow of Rama and according to him, for this the opposition front must be united. In his view, the new parties should not create rivalry but should unite in a common front.
'The fragmentation of the opposition has been one of the forms with which Rama has attacked the opposition and has invested. But it is a classic political methodology and it happens in these countries that are heading towards uncontrolled authorities. In this specific case, it is not healthy for small parties to organize small protests and remain within their numbers without giving strong messages. The message, no matter how good it is, has the form of its appearance and transmission. The DP knows this well and has given great importance to alliances and has preserved the authority of small parties. We have reflected on that form that has been criticized. The main goal is the overthrow of Rama and we want to use this as motivation, the unification of the opposition front and as a lexeme for other parties that today try to compete or create rivalry in the face of a goal that does not require rivalry but a common front ,'' he said.
During the interview, Boçi was also asked about Ervin Salianji's meetings. He emphasized that his position was determined by Salianji himself, adding that ambition should never turn into ego.
Luciano Boçi: I am within the DP, I would say that the position where Salianji is has been determined by himself. And he said I am part of the DP. And the way he operates, it is articulated that he serves the DP according to his judgment. But I think that everyone has their own mirror and sees their own position and has the preparation to judge where they are and what they should do, but calculations are calculations. We are not individuals who only have ambitions, but we serve a space with people and greater strength, but I think that ambition should not pass into ego and whether it has passed or not, Salianji himself knows this. We have friendly communication and normally we have cases that we face and can meet, but during this time the distances have been fun.
