Competition within the Democratic Party in Kukës/ Democrats elect Rrahman Demaj as the new head of the branch

The vote counting process in the Democratic Party branch in Kukes ended with the victory of Rrahman Demaj, who received 642 votes, while his rival Sabah Cenaj secured 273 votes.

927 members out of about 1,700 registered members participated in the vote, indicating a significant turnout. After the announcement of the result, Demaj thanked the supporters and expressed his determination to unite the structures and strengthen the branch.

On the other hand, Sabah Cenaj accepted the result and described the process as fair. He stressed the importance of unity within the party after the race. Meanwhile, political leader Flamur Hoxha congratulated both candidates and underlined that the priority remains strengthening the Democratic Party and facing the upcoming political challenges.
