Korça/ Urban Transport in Collapse: Euro-Atlantic Coalition Candidates Denounce Lack of Service for Citizens

The urban transport service in the city of Korça continues to fall short of any minimum standards, causing great concern for citizens. The Euro-Atlantic Coalition's parliamentary candidates, Elvin Bregu and Marinela Ziu, have closely visited some of the main bus stations in the city, following numerous complaints they have received from residents.
In a joint statement, the two candidates denounced long delays – up to an hour – on urban lines, while, according to the contract, buses should run every 30 minutes. Furthermore, the vehicles are not equipped with heating, which makes the situation even worse during cold winter days. They add that this situation is the result of an incompetent administration that is disconnected from the real needs of citizens.
The Euro-Atlantic Coalition candidates emphasized that they will be the voice of citizens and will continue to denounce any problem related to abuses at the local and central levels. They called on citizens to share their concerns, guaranteeing that the solution begins with listening and dignified representation.
Full post:
Together with the Euro-Atlantic Coalition candidate Elvin Bregu, following concerns raised by Korça citizens, we closely visited the city's public transportation points or urban areas.
We noted delays of at least 1 hour for buses, which de jure should come every 30 minutes, and buses without heating, even during cold winter days, not only now. Due to unjustified delays, as can be seen from the photos, most citizens left without receiving transportation service.
We remain committed to supporting citizens for any concerns and issues, for which we invite you to contact us because we strongly believe that Korça deserves more.
