Metani visits the US, ILD leader's meetings in Texas and Florida revealed

The High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani, has paid an official visit to the United States of America, where he held a series of institutional meetings in the state of Texas and Florida with representatives of the justice system and the academic world.

In Texas, the meetings were held with the support of Conroe County Council member Harry Hardman and the organization Open Gov Hub Albania, with a focus on deepening inter-institutional dialogue and exchanging best professional practices.

A symbolic ceremony was held at the Texas State Capitol in Austin where the flag was raised for a day in honor of Metan's visit, and then it was handed over in an official ceremony by local authorities.

During the visit, Metani held meetings at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, where academic cooperation, training programs, and strengthening the institutional capacities of the High Inspectorate of Justice were discussed.

At the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office, he was received by Prosecutor Mike Holley, with whom they exchanged experiences on institutional independence, integrity and strengthening the rule of law. At this meeting, Metan was also presented with a certificate of appreciation for his institutional contribution.

Metani has also held meetings with judges of the 9th Texas Court of Appeals, and has visited the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park, where he was awarded a certificate of appreciation for the visit.

Continuing the agenda, he also stayed in the state of Florida, where he held meetings with federal judges and representatives of the University of South Florida, with a focus on the organization of the justice system, judicial ethics, and academic cooperation.

According to the Office of the High Inspector of Justice, these commitments aim to strengthen international cooperation, increase institutional capacities, and align with best practices in the field of justice.
