A serious accident occurred this Sunday morning on the Rrogozhina-Lushnje highway near the village of Konjat.
Three vehicles collided in a failed overtaking maneuver. As a result, two vehicles were slightly damaged, while another Skoda ended up stuck in the side iron barrier on the driver's side.
The driver was trapped in the vehicle and the police and roadblocks called the Lushnja firefighters, who upon arrival removed him from the vehicle and he was urgently taken to the Lushnja hospital with several fractures to his body but out of danger to his life.
There were also passersby who ran to the accident area and moved the vehicle away from the iron barrier, and fortunately the 30-year-old driver was saved.
The traffic police at the scene, after escorting the injured person to the Lushnja hospital, are continuing procedures to document the accident and shed light on the causes.
It is suspected that a wrong overtaking maneuver by one of the vehicles involved in the accident was the cause of the three vehicles being involved.
