Erion Braçe, after many years of allusions regarding his candidacy for the Municipality of Tirana, has made a post on his Facebook account to clarify all the questions raised.
He stopped his "clarification" at three main points, where he stated that he did not speak to Edi Rama about running , but he does not see this as a lack of respect, he further added that it was not Rama who brought him out to run for honor, fame or out of his own need, and finally he added that the whole situation is not his attack.
"I repeat, I do not play or make fun of anyone, neither the city nor its people," Braçe writes, among other things.
Erion Braçe: " They say that I have not spoken to Edi Rama about this and this is true, but they see this as my disfavor. I have not spoken to Edi Rama and it is not a lack of respect for him. No zero, on the contrary I respect Edi Rama for who he is, the chairman of the Socialist Party of Albania.

Erion Braçen was removed by Edi Rama, they say, at the end of some needs that the AID and the PS have at these moments, no it is not true, Edi Rama did not remove me. Neither in function of the needs of the PS nor his, nor in function of mine, so to do me a favor, nor to remove Ogerta Mnastirliu from this race, and whoever knows me knows very well that if these were the reasons, the first one who would have refused very clearly would have been me, no I responded to a call.
The third thing I heard, Erion Braçe is not attacking Edi Rama yet and this is to my disfavor and I am considered unreliable in the absence of attacking Edi Rama, look, I have been in this party for many years and in politics for many years, and of course I have not dealt with people, I have dealt with the issues and principles that cover these issues, always seeing their impact in relation to the ordinary people of this country, so the fundamental focus is people, but not the officers, I don't care about them, the people and the service to them in function of some principles that should make this city acceptable."

No, I have not spoken to Edi Rama about my candidacy; it is not a lack of respect; on the contrary, it is respect for what he is - the leader of the Socialist Party, the first equal among equals in a party that must choose with the votes of its members, sympathizers, the left as a whole, the people they want to represent and the path they should follow. These are the principles of August 2005 that make a difference and I stand by them, especially when it has come to the point that competition, merit, votes, have been replaced by wall announcements, done, and that have made unvoted and unvotable people, leaders at various levels.

Nooo, Edi Rama did not push me to run, based on his needs, the PS at this moment, mine as an honor or a district, the need to remove Ogerta Manastirliu from this, let's say, race in this way; anyone who knows me knows very well that if these were the reasons, I would be the first to refuse, as I have often done at different times. I want to remind you that I clearly expressed the idea of running at the PS assembly meeting of unit 5; that is, within the PS structures - not outside of it, it was a mature thought and a response to thousands of people in this city that I have met in its neighborhoods and streets, a response also to thousands of socialists in this city with whom I have discussed this. To clarify, I have asked for a broad, inclusive, democratic process and not a favor-career district!

Nooo, it is not an attack and I do not intend to attack Edi Eame for this; in so many years in politics and public service, I do not deal with people, the person, the individual, I deal with principles, issues that arise and are related to the way principles are implemented and that have an impact on people's lives. I mean, I have responded to the needs of this city for a year, sporadically and even earlier. Now it is more serious: this city is not even self-governing….
