Clash between Veliaj and Rama? Analyst warns: Erioni thinks he is a 'political victim' and does not respect the SP leader

Analyst Baton Haxhiu spoke about the Constitutional Court's decision that reinstated Erion Veliaj as mayor of Tirana.
Invited to journalist Blendi Fevziu's Opinion show, analyst Baton Haxhiu said that after this decision in favor of Veliaj, he expected there to be clashes and battles between the mayor and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to Haxhiu, since he is locked in a cell, Erion Veliaj sees himself as a political victim and that he now has no other choice but to fight.
Baton Haxhiu says that Veliaj does not respect the SP leader, because if he did, he would resign and not hold the capital hostage.
" We said about a month ago that Erion Veliaj is isolated and has time to fight a political battle. I am not surprised by this result. The idea is that from now on, being isolated, he thinks he is a political victim.
After this result, he will start the political battle, given that he is isolated and calls himself a political victim.
There is no other way. He did not resign. Morally, he does not care that he is accused of corruption.
I think he will clash with Rama, there is no other way. First, a man who respects the leader of the Socialist Party, for what happened, resigns and liberates the country and does not hold the capital hostage.
The fact that he is holding the capital hostage, because he is waging a political battle, I am convinced that his battle is irreversible.
How successful he will be is another matter… How can someone lead from prison?
I don't know how we can design a leadership of Tirana that will lead him from prison. It is morally unsustainable. The law gives him the right to seek his innocence until the end, to wait for that innocence, but the city does not wait for his innocence until the next elections. This is not right in a moral sense.
"For the fact that the prosecution, by court decision, still keeps him in prison, I think that after the decision of the Constitutional Court, morally he cannot remain in prison. It is a decision that, although it seems procedural and that the violation is even though the violation of the law... It is contradictory that someone who is in prison can lead the capital," said Baton Haxhiu.
