An incident is reported to have occurred today at the DP branch in Shkodra, where it is learned that the two candidates for mayor physically confronted each other. 

The confirmation of only two candidates for the presidency of the DP Shkodra in the race that will be held on March 15 has caused a fistfight among the democratic members at the headquarters of the DP of this city.
The political leader Luçiano Boçi was present at this meeting, announcing the confirmation of two names as candidates for the presidency of the DP, Genti Ibroja and Ardit Qylybyli.
In fact, the proposed list was longer, but in the end the headquarters decided to put these two names against each other.
The official confirmation brought debates that ended with fistfights within the DP.
The member of the presidency, Ervin Gjini, while speaking about the reasons why his name and the name of the deputy president of the DP, Arben Lushaj, or other names that have been proposed by the base, have not been brought as candidates for the presidency of the DP.

Gjini also said during his speech that these criteria were not made known in advance and that it is clear why they were excluded from this opportunity to run for president of the DP.

According to sources within the blue headquarters in Shkodra, Arban Lutfija intervened while Ervin Gjini was speaking, opposing the latter.

This led to arguments between each other and then ended in a physical clash, with sources saying that Lutfija was the one who was hit.
This whole scene happened in front of the eyes of the political leader Luçiano Boçi, who tried to intervene together with other members of the DP Shkodra to quell this physical clash.

The Shkodër DP is clearly divided into two groups, one side supporting the candidate Qylybyli, former deputy mayor of Shkodër when this municipality was headed by Bardh Spahija, today a DP MP, and the other side supporting the candidate Gent Ibro, former director of IMT in the Shkodër municipality.
The March 15 race for the head of the Shkodër DP is expected to be tough after these physical clashes and intense debates.
