Why did the DP get 250,000 more votes against Edi Rama's gangs 4 years ago?

Four years ago, after the 2021 parliamentary elections, the OSCE/ODIHR preliminary report raised the same concerns as today about the use of the administration in elections, government decisions on the eve of elections, the involvement of incriminated persons in the election campaign, etc., etc. However, then the DP and the SMI received almost 250 thousand more votes than they received this year combined under the leadership of Berisha and Meta.

In other words, facing the same “regime” (as the opposition calls Rama’s government), the coalition led by Berisha and Meta received only 2/3 of the votes that their parties received in 2021. The table below shows that the vote share was distributed across all regions (even in the few regions where the coalition led by Berisha and Meta came first in the region). Thus, the highest vote share was recorded in Fier Region (almost 1/2), while the lowest vote share was recorded in Kukës Region (over 1/5).

Only 47 thousand votes came from the diaspora for the coalition led by Berisha and Meta. While from countries around the world where DHL had no problems with the distribution of CEC envelopes, only 40 thousand votes came for this coalition...
