Merger of the Cadastre in Vlora, Rama: The service will be online and without

Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented on his podcast "Flasim" on the relocation of the Vlora Cadastre Office to Tirana, explaining the reasons and how the service will function in the future.

According to Rama, some information on the relocation has been misinterpreted or misunderstood, causing unnecessary tension and discussions. He stressed that the Cadastral Agency has long since moved from a traditional service model with counters and queues, to an online model, which allows for the completion of most procedures without physically appearing at the counter, through the e-Albania platform.

"This movement is not related to the physical location of the office, but to the transformation of the service into a sustainable and accessible model for every citizen, through the nearest mobile phone or computer," said Rama.

He also emphasized that the relocation of the Vlora office is not the only one of its kind and that in the future, local Cadastre directorates will focus on online services, with the aim of ensuring that the entire cycle of application and receipt of documents is carried out electronically, without the need for physical visits or receipt of documents by mail.

According to the Prime Minister, this step aims at a more efficient, modern and accessible approach for citizens, making the Cadastre service a fundamental right that can be used from any point in the territory.

"Two words about the relocation of the Vlora Cadastre office to Tirana. The physical address of the office was deliberately or idiotically confused with the service for citizens. The Cadastre Agency has long since moved from a primitive service model with counters and queues to an online model that is not yet fully closed in its cycle, but in any case, through the E Albania platform, this model enables most procedures to not require a physical appearance at a counter. Everything is followed online. Now all this noise and tension that was felt in that movement is related not only to a wrong perception or even insufficient information, but also to a mindset that must be overturned. It must be overturned, considering that the near future of the Cadastre is a recovery without counters and physical buildings distributed throughout the territory but with access to every service as a fundamental right and a right that is obtained through a mobile phone, the nearest computer and that has no connection to the location of the office. This is not the first action to relocate a local directorate "In the center and it's not even the last one. Other directors will be relocated and what we are working on every day is to ensure the closure of the cycle, so no more online application and then receiving the medical treatment by mail, but the entire cycle online," said Rama.
