Socialist Party MP, Ermonela Felaj, has commented on her inclusion on the open list of candidates for the May 11 elections.
In an interview with News24, she emphasized that she did not ask to be on the closed list and did not set any conditions.
She considered this decision as a step in favor of the opening and democratization of the party, underlining the importance of including new figures in politics.
"I did not apply to be on the closed list and I did not set any conditions. A party like the SP, which has been in power since 2013, needs to be renewed and give opportunities to young people. I probably would not have become part of the SP if I had not been placed on the closed list when I joined the party. I have had the privilege of being a safe candidate for 4 consecutive terms," she said.
