First-time parents, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin welcome their daughter

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin have become parents for the first time. The couple announced on Monday, September 28, that their daughter was born about three weeks ago, on September 7, Labor Day in the United States.
"We took Labor Day literally this year," the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post, where they appear with their backs to the camera, holding their daughter between them. The three are seen wearing Los Angeles Dodgers jerseys, while watching a game on TV.
The 34-year-old actor and 32-year-old model, who married in July 2023, have yet to reveal their daughter's name.
The couple announced in May that they were expecting their first child, and in July they revealed they were expecting a daughter. During the first episode of his podcast, Sprouse revealed that they named their daughter "principessa," which is Italian for princess.
"Would you like to share the news?" Palvin asked her husband during the conversation.
"Yeah, we called her 'principessa,'" Sprouse replied. "I don't know why, but that's what we called her... It's the Italian word for princess."
“But yes, we’re having a girl and I’m so excited,” he added. “In fact, I’m so excited to be a father to a girl.”
At the time, the couple said they were still discussing names and hadn’t decided what to call their “princessa.”
In August, Sprouse also spoke about his excitement about the arrival of his daughter during another podcast. He revealed that she will be "the first Sprouse girl to be born in a long time."
“We’re a very small family in general, but this is the first Sprouse girl in a long time, and it makes me nervous, because I come from a family of only boys,” the actor explained. “So my dad can’t really help me understand that.”
Sprouse admitted that raising a daughter is something completely new to him, but said he’s looking forward to being a father to her.
“As far as raising a daughter, it’s completely unknown to me,” he said. “However, I’m really excited, because all my friends who have boys seem to be going through a traumatic experience.”
Palvin joked that the arrival of the daughter will “tame” her husband.
