Student protests! Court releases three protesters, one was illegally arrested

The Criminal Court has decided to release three protesters detained during the student protests, which have been ongoing in the country for two weeks against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

For two of the protesters, Rezart Vozga and Jurgen Rizai, the court has imposed the security measure "Compulsory appearance", after assessing that their arrest was legal. Meanwhile, for another protester, the court has found that the arrest was illegal, ordering his immediate release without security measures. The decisions come at a time when student protests have been ongoing for 14 days, accompanied by tensions, clashes with the police and detentions of participants.

Students have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, while the manner in which law enforcement intervened and the arrests during the rallies have caused reactions and criticism from human rights organizations.
