Veliaj 'stabs' Rama from his cell: Student protests are not 'the end of the world', but the end of 'a world'

Erion Veliaj sent an indirect message to Edi Rama from his cell, after posting a congratulatory message to students in Serbia on social media.
The latter managed to win the elections and oust Rama's brother, the autocrat Aleksandar Vučić, from power.
Veliaj writes with a scepticism that student protests and movements are not 'the end of the world', but the end of 'a world'.
"Congratulations to the students for overthrowing the Machiavellian and populist of Belgrade!"
Student movements and protests are not “the end of the world,” but the end of “a world.” The sooner we understand this as citizens and policymakers, the better we will be able to respond to the needs and expectations of this generation.
Heartfelt congratulations also to our Albanians in Serbia, who, according to the current projection, increase their representation from one to two mandates. A stronger voice for the rights of Albanians in Serbia!” writes Veliaj.
