While working to lay fiber optics in Normandy, workers discover 75 bombs from

Workers who made an unexpected discovery while installing fiber optics in Normandy have uncovered dozens of bombs dating back to World War II.

According to 'France 3 Normandie', work was underway in the Verson area when workers found a total of 75 bombs, each weighing around 250 kilograms.

Local authorities explained that these are concrete bombs for training, meaning they pose no danger to residents of the area.

Despite the fact that the bombs are not considered dangerous, bomb disposal experts were at the scene to examine, identify and classify them for precautionary reasons.

The next step will be to preserve them as historical objects. As announced by the municipality, the bombs will be offered to museums in the area, so that they can be used to preserve historical memory.
