Actor Bud Spencer who was born in Carlo Pedersoli in Naples became famous for his western films.
But recently Carlotta Rossi, 46, a manager by profession, claims to be the actor's secret daughter.
She told her story in the book 'A mezzo' for the first time.
Rossi, assisted by her lawyers, has launched a paternity trial in the Rome Court.
She has requested a DNA examination and is seeking compensation 'for damage suffered due to the significant absence of the father figure throughout her life' and to be included in the actor's inheritance.
In her book Carlotta tells the love story between her mother Giò (Giovanna Michelina Rossi) and the man she could never call father, but only "Lallo".
In an interview with Italian media Corriere Della Sera, Rossi has shown moments from the meeting with the actor.
"A suitcase arrived at our house that seemed giant to me but in reality it was normal. It was full of toys. 'It looked like a Santa Claus wearing a blue jacket with a white suitcase in hand,' she said.
Rosse was 13 when Bud Spencer told her he had another family and three children.
But Bud Spencer was never a stranger to Carlotta.
