Singer Britney Spears arrested

Popular American singer Britney Spears was arrested Wednesday evening in California, according to reports from local authorities.

According to police, the 42-year-old artist was stopped at around 9:28 p.m. in Ventura County on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

After being escorted to the police station and completing the necessary procedures, Spears was released in the early hours of Thursday morning, around 6:07 AM.

Authorities have announced that the singer is expected to face justice in this matter, with the court hearing scheduled for May 4th.
