Accident on the Morinë-Kukës axis, the car goes off the road and ends up in the canal! The driver escapes: I was born for the second time

An accident occurred this Thursday on the Morinë-Kukës highway, near the village of Perbreg. A vehicle went off the road, crashed into the highway retaining wall and ended up in a canal.

The driver of the vehicle, Besart Cecelia, 48, who fortunately survived, said that at the moment the accident occurred, he was tired and fell asleep, and this was also the moment when he lost control of the vehicle, ending up in the canal.

He said he was heading to Shkodra, as he was a football coach, and in the meantime, the police and ambulance intervened to provide him with first aid.

"I was born a second time," he said after the event, thanking fate for escaping without injury.

Authorities are working to fully clarify the causes of the accident.
