Prince Leka is still in the process of divorcing his wife, but this has not stopped him from living happy days with his new girlfriend. The royal scandal came to the surface at the beginning of March, where the media also showed footage of the physical collision that he and Elia Zaharia had.

But apparently, in this event, the Prince was accompanied by his new girlfriend, the photographer Blerta Celibashi. Although in the photos posted from the event on social networks, the 43-year-old did not share with his followers any image with his girlfriend, it was Blerta who posted a photo in Malta. Apparently, this is the first event that after the separation from his ex-wife Elia Zaharia, Prince Leka appeared accompanied by his new partner. The former royal couple a few months ago ended their marriage of several years, from which they also have a daughter, Geraldine, due to the Prince's infidelity with his current partner.
A month ago, Prince Leka sued his ex-wife with whom he has a daughter, Geraldina, and his ex-father-in-law. Also, father and daughter sued the 43-year-old for violence. The Civil Court of Tirana signed two protection orders for Prince Leka and his ex-wife Elia Zaharia, in the divorce process. Elia Zaharia and her father were present at the session, while Prince Leka was represented by his lawyer. The couple must keep a distance of 5 m from each other. Meanwhile, Leka Zogu has to meet the little girl not in the presence of Elias, but of the nanny.
Meanwhile, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has started the investigation after reporting to the police for the criminal offense "Domestic Violence". In the whole serious incident, Gjergj Zaharia and his daughter claim that they are in self-defense. "I'm old and I didn't hit him first. It was Leka, the one who attacked and hit me first. I am in self-defense", - testified Gjergj Zaharia.
"He came aggressively and became violent. He grabbed me by the hands, pushed me and tried to hit me. We are in self-defense", Elia Zaharia testified. In his testimony, Prince Leka stated that: "It was at 15:20 minutes in my apartment on 'Murat Toptani' street, residence of the royal family no. 6, Tirana to meet my 3-year-old daughter, as we are in the process of divorcing my ex-wife, citizen Elia Zogu. I first met with the head of the Court's administration, citizen Syl Mulosmanaj, whom I asked about a closet that was emptied in violation of the agreement.
I then asked Syles to accompany me to my daughter's to meet her, which we agreed to with my ex-wife in a divorce settlement. I climbed up together with Syla and found my little daughter, Geraldina Zogu, aged 3 years, who was in the company of her grandfather, the father of his ex-wife, citizen Gjergj Zaharia. At this moment, I hugged my daughter and the citizen Gjergj Zaharia started using insulting and threatening words in my direction, saying: 'You should change the way when you see me'. My reaction before this situation was addressing Gjergji not to insult and threaten me, especially in the presence of the girl, and I asked him to leave the room where I was staying with the girl. In these moments the situation has worsened. Citizen Gjergj Zaharia approached me, pushing me and kicking me on the legs. My reaction was only defensive, but Gjergji continued hitting me and tore my sweatshirt, as well as took a hard object (wooden statue) with which he hit me."
For months, the former royal couple have been the headlines of the pink press media. The reason is his sensational separation after 15 years. Since the news, Leka has preferred to remain somewhat more withdrawn from the media, quietly enjoying his love story with Blerta, a photographer a few years younger. Prince Leka and Elia Zaharia confirmed their separation months ago, as they revealed that they have legally started divorce proceedings to end their long-term marriage, from which a daughter, Princess Geraldine, was born.
The couple had been rumored for a long time about a separation, while Prince Leka had started a new relationship with their photographer, Blerta Celibashi. The pair have been seen together at the airport where they traveled abroad to spend the holidays together, however neither had publicly reacted to their relationship.
The first to confirm the separation was Prince Leka on January 15, while shortly after him the actress Elia Zaharia reacted, while they did not show the reason why the couple's relationship ended. Prince's new relationship with photographer Blerta Celibashi has been hinted at as the reason for the divorce. Meanwhile, people close to Leka have tried to deny such a fact. Erion Teli, former head of Public Relations at the Royal Court spoke in an interview for "Canapé" about the sensational divorce.
Teli reiterated that the relationship started a month and a half ago, while the marriage ended a year and a half ago. He shared his personal opinion on the reason for the couple's divorce and said that Elia Zaharia's career could have been a possible cause.
