Former Miss Lady Sanremo is found dead of a heart attack in Italy

Former model Gabriela Salgau, the 50-year-old Italian-Romanian who last year won the honorary title of Miss Lady Sanremo, was found dead last night from a sudden heart attack in Portogruaro, in northeastern Italy.
Her family had asked for help during the night when they found her unconscious, but the doctors who came to the scene could not save her.
The medical staff said with certainty that the cause of death is a heart attack, but without giving reasons as to what could have caused it.
Salgao, originally from Romania, lived for years in Portogruaro where she worked and had her fiance. She was an activist of social causes and women's rights.
The media of her city paid tribute to the woman who had become a role model for many young women with her activism.
"In this moment of sadness, the memory of 50-year-old Gabriela Salgau will remain forever in everyone's hearts, hoping that her passion and commitment to social causes will inspire new generations," wrote 'LaNuovaVenezia'.
