Serious attack in Nice: Players "taken money" by 400 fans enraged by 3-1 defeat

A serious situation occurred in Nice on Sunday evening, where around 400 fans of the team welcomed the players after returning from the match with Lorient.

The 3-1 defeat, which marked the team's sixth consecutive defeat, sparked an outburst of anger from supporters, transforming a meeting that was supposed to be a discussion into a violent attack.

At the center of the aggression were footballers Jeremie Boga and Tarem Moffi. They were subjected to a brutal attack, suffering kicks to the lower body and punches. In addition to the physical violence, the players were also subjected to severe racial insults and were spat on by the enraged crowd.

The incident began when two fans boarded the team bus to express their dissatisfaction with the team's performance. The situation then escalated when the players got out of the vehicle and found themselves facing a large group of angry fans. The anger was not only directed at the players; the technical staff and sporting director, Florian Maurice, were also targeted with the same aggressive treatment.

As a result of this attack, the two players affected, Boga and Moffi, have made an official complaint. Due to the blows received, they were given a five-day leave to recover, thus missing Monday's training session. The Nice club reacted immediately through an official statement, strongly condemning this act.

The club's statement said that while fans' frustration over poor results is understandable, the incidents that occurred are unacceptable. "On Sunday, when we returned from Lorient, the team was met by a group of fans at the training center... Several members of the club were targeted. Nice offers them its full support and categorically condemns such acts," the statement said, confirming its support for the victims.
