Stretcher and Champions League final injuries: I still don't have an

It's been almost four weeks since what remains a night of unforgettable pain for many Inter fans: the 5-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League final, held in Monaco.

And although the days have passed and the team has moved on to the Club World Cup challenges, the pain has not subsided.

This is also shown by Nicolò Barella, one of the leaders of the black and blue midfield, in a recent interview with DAZN.

Asked if he has managed to understand what happened that gloomy evening, Barella says honestly:

"To be honest, I don't have an answer. Maybe there's no single explanation."

"It was a combination of factors, a lot of mixed feelings, and it's hard to say why that decline happened."

The Italian midfielder reveals that even within the locker room, an attempt has been made to understand the situation, but without a clear conclusion:

"We talked among ourselves, especially with the more experienced players.

We weren't looking for blame, but we wanted to understand each other's feelings. They were different and numerous, which shows that there was no single cause.

"Football is like that, sometimes it catches you on a bad day. Unfortunately, this day was… the final."

However, Barella does not accept that Inter's entire path to Europe can be reduced to that heavy defeat. On the contrary, he highlights the achievements and maturity the team has gained:

"I look back on our journey with pride. We lost to the strongest team in the world today (PSG), – but before that we beat Bayern and Barcelona, two other giants.

What remains for me is the experience, the path we traveled and my obligation to always give my best for my teammates, for the club and for the coach who, with his staff, have done an extraordinary job since day one."

At a time when Inter is looking to rebuild morale and confidence after this setback, Barella's words are not simply an analysis: they are a statement of responsibility, from a footballer who has no intention of hiding behind defeats, but rather growing with them.
