Briken Calja out of the Olympics: It was not the right moment

Briken Calja returns to Albania after the World Cup in Thailand, where he managed to rank only in tenth place.
The former World Champion today, at the age of 34, was the only one who was able to represent Albanian weightlifting in the World, of which the most positive thing was his return to a competitive competition, as he did with 333 kg.
This championship was the last hope for Albanian weightlifting to secure a place in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Participant in the 3 previous Olympics, and undoubtedly the most fit athlete of our weightlifting, he had all the eyes and hopes of the people, that he would continue to keep the name of weightlifting high even in this summer's Olympics.
Besides the modification of the general classification, the Albanian Weightlifting Federation is preparing to receive an invitation to have the opportunity to be in the Olympics anyway.
