"Giro d'Italia 2025" starts on May 9 in Durrës and ends in Vlora

The "Giro d'Italia 2025" will start on May 9 in Albania, where the first three stages will take place, and will include 21 stages, ending on May 25 in Rome.

The presentation of the teams participating in the activity will take place on May 7, at 8:30 PM at "Skënderbej" Square.

STAGE 1: Durrës – Tirana (May 9)

The tour will start at around 13:10 from the Port of Durrës, where the teams will warm up and pedal until they reach KM 0, in Durrës, where the race will start. The athletes will continue towards Mali i Robit, in Kavajë, Rrogozhinë, Peqin, Papër, Bradashesh, Gracen, Mullet, TEG, Sauk, Surrel, Tirana. In Tirana, they will cycle from Surrel, on “Xhanfize Keko” street, towards “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard, then again on “Rexhekri” street, towards Surrel, on “Xhanfize Keko” street and on “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard. The end of the race is expected to be around 17:03 at “Mother Teresa” square.

STAGE 2: Tirana – Tirana (May 10)

The race starts from "Skënderbej" Square at around 13:30, towards "Gjergj Fishta" Boulevard, then via "Bajram Curri" Boulevard towards "Mother Teresa" Square, on Elbasan Road towards Sauk, returning to "Bajram Curri" Boulevard, from Ura e Brrylit towards "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, to "Mother Teresa" Square, where the race is expected to end at around 17:15.

STAGE 3: Vlora – Vlora (May 11)

The tour will start at around 13:15, from Lungomare, where the teams will warm up and pedal until they reach KM 0, on the “Demokracia” road, from where the race will start. The athletes will continue the route towards Kota, Brataj, towards Qeparo, then from Porto Palermo to Himara, and then they will return from Qafa e Llogorasë, towards Orikum, and via the “Murat Tërbaçi” road they will return to Vlora. The end of the race is expected to be around 17:26 on the “Sadik Zotaj” road.
