Macron proposes international mission on Hormuz during conversation with Iranian president

French President Emmanuel Macron has held a new conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, where the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and maritime security were discussed.

During the conversation, the importance of guaranteeing the free circulation of ships in this strategic area was highlighted, while Macron encouraged Iran to consider a plan proposed by France and Britain for the creation of an international mission aimed at securing maritime transit.

The French president has also announced that he intends to discuss this issue with US President Donald Trump.
