Pristina wins the Kosovo–Diaspora Super Cup

The Kosovo Cup winning team, Prishtina, has won the Kosovo-Diaspora Super Cup trophy, after scoring a victory over the Diaspora Cup winner, FC Kosova from Geneva, after penalties (4:3), after the regular time ended 2:2, in the match held in Geneva, organized by the Union of Albanian Football Clubs in Switzerland and supported by the FFK and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.

The atmosphere was extraordinary, with the participation of a large number of compatriots, who, in addition to football, also enjoyed the artistic program with national songs and dances.

The President of the FFK, Agim Ademi, present at this event, was honored with the title of "Honorary Ambassador" for his contribution and tireless commitment to the advancement of Albanian football, as he praised the extraordinary role of the Diaspora in the freedom and state-building of Kosovo, as well as in supporting Kosovar football on its journey towards UEFA and FIFA and its continued progress.

The match was quite interesting and balanced. Liridon Bajrami gave Kosovo Geneva the lead from the penalty spot in the 12th minute. Lorik Mehmeti equalized in the 39th minute, when he took advantage of a clearance from goalkeeper Amine Zahi who saved Blend Baftiu's penalty. Karim Ait restored the lead for Kosovo Geneva in the 64th minute, with a shot from inside the area. However, Prishtina avoided defeat in the end, when Leotrim Kryeziu converted from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute, after Dren Zeqiri had been fouled inside the area.

Thus, the winner was determined by penalty kicks, where the Pristina players proved to be more accurate, winning 4:3, with an overall score of 6:5.

At the end, President Agim Ademi and the chairman of UKSHFZ, Feti Demolli, shared the trophy and medals, crowning a day of celebration and unity for Kosovar football and the Albanian diaspora.
