"San Siro" will have 71,000 seats and is worth 1.2 billion euros, work begins on the new stadium

The operation to build Milan's new stadium in the "San Siro" area is worth 1.2 billion euros. A facility that will have a capacity of approximately 71,500 seats and will operate 365 days a year.
This is stated in the 250-page dossier submitted by Inter and Milan to the Municipality, which explains how the area will be transformed after the clubs' purchase. The construction of the stadium alone, which according to the project will start operating in 2031, is worth around 700 million euros.
It is estimated that the auxiliary areas (restaurants, shops, gyms) will come into operation between 2033 and 2035. The stadium will be built to the west of the area, while to the east a part of the current "San Siro" will remain, which will be reused.
The partial redevelopment of the facility includes the complete removal of the roof, the third and first ring stands, part of the second ring stands and approximately 70% of the ramps that characterize the existing facade.
As for Milan, it remains to be seen what will happen to the land purchased a few months ago for 15 million euros in an area on the outskirts of Milan, where the new facility was to be built, if an agreement is not found with the city council.
