106-year-old forgotten by the state, the elderly woman in Thumanë amidst humidity and poverty

In Thumanë, 106-year-old Hava Janguzi lives in difficult conditions, without receiving assistance from institutions.

She has no children and her husband has been dead for years.

For more than 40 years, Skënder Janguzi has been taking care of her, who says that the elderly woman is the daughter-in-law of his father's uncle.

Hava Janguzi suffers from hearing and vision problems. The family consists of seven members and survives only on social assistance, while the elderly woman only benefits from a pension.

The apartment where they live is filled with humidity, endangering her health.

At the Thumana Administrative Unit, they told us that there had been no official request for this case, while after our intervention, representatives of the unit and social services visited the family, without providing any concrete measures.
