A reaction has come from the head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, after the Constitutional Court rejected Prime Minister Edi Rama's request for the security measure imposed on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Belinda Balluku.

In his reaction, Bardhi states that the alibis have now fallen, while Edi Rama was defeated in his claim to block justice.

He also calls on the Speaker of the Assembly to immediately announce an emergency meeting on Monday of the Mandates Council and to include in the plenary session on Thursday the request for authorization to lift the immunity of former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister Belinda Balluku.

Edi Rama was overthrown in his claim to block justice. Anyone who obstructs justice will be overthrown in the same way.

I call on the Speaker of the Assembly to immediately announce an emergency meeting on Monday of the Mandates Council and the inclusion in the plenary session on Thursday of the request for authorization to lift the immunity of former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister Belinda Balluku.

The Assembly cannot bear the weight of responsibility for the unprecedented delay in reviewing the Prosecutor's Office's request and for obstructing justice.
