Epstein case 'burns' Hollywood too/ Jay Z, Leonardo DiCaprio, George Clooney and the "interesting girls of Copenhagen"

New files on Jeffrey Epstein, released by the US Department of Justice, have caused strong shockwaves in the art world.

Well-known names from music and cinema appear in photographs or email messages exchanged by the convicted sex offender, the dimensions of which cause shock and disgust.

The case has had a major impact on the famous rapper and producer Jay Z. His name is mentioned in the testimony of an anonymous victim, who said that after being drugged and then sexually abused, when she regained consciousness, she saw Jay Z and film producer Harvey Weinstein in the room with her. The revelation has hit the public image of the Jay Z - Beyonce couple, who did not appear at the Grammy Awards ceremony, just hours after the Epstein files were made public. Their followers on social networks decreased by millions within 24 hours.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio's name is mentioned at least three times in Epstein's published emails. In June 2009, Epstein wrote to British politician Lord Peter Mandelson to ask for DiCaprio's support for his projects. Other emails between Epstein and alternative medicine guru Deepak Chopra mention arranging a meeting between DiCaprio and Woody Allen, who was part of Epstein's inner circle. However, information from the actor's inner circle indicates that DiCaprio had not met Epstein and was unaware of his crimes.

George Clooney is also mentioned in the Epstein files. In January 2010, while Epstein is believed to be in Copenhagen, he wrote: “Now I know Copenhagen has interesting girls…” and Mandelson replied: “Can I have a muse like George Clooney?”

Among the other characters involved are Mick Jagger, who is seen in a photo between Epstein and former President Bill Clinton.

Even for Michael Jackson, there is evidence and photos that implicate him with Epstein. Kevin Spacey, accused in 2017 of sexual harassment and who lost his career because of these cases. The new files on Epstein are causing an extraordinary shock in the world of art and showbiz, including names from music and cinema that were once considered pristine.
