Surprise action in Durrës prison, guards find iPhones in prisoners' cells, immediate measures taken

In the early hours of this morning, surprise checks were carried out on the premises of the Durrës Penitentiary Institution, as part of increased measures to guarantee order and security in penitentiary institutions.
The action came after information provided by operational structures and a detailed risk analysis, putting the General Directorate of Prisons into action.
During the search, three "iPhone" type mobile phones, turned on and fully functional, were seized. One of them was found in the possession of a pre-detainee with the initials BG, while the other two, along with a pair of "bluetooth" headphones, were found in the institution's premises without an identified perpetrator.
Immediately after the findings, the relevant procedural actions were taken, where the detainee BG was isolated, an incident report was drawn up and a record was kept of the blocking of prohibited items.
Three "iPhone" type cell phones, turned on and functional, were seized.
One of them was found in the possession of the detainee with the initials BG.
Two others, along with a pair of Bluetooth headphones, were found without their owners on the institution's premises.
Detainee BG was isolated
A record of the seizure of prohibited items was kept.
The materials were referred to the ICS Specialist for further investigative action.
