This Monday, the 16th consecutive protest against the investment project in the Zvërnec area is taking place, a movement that has already surpassed the initial cause and citizens are demanding the resignation of the entire political class.

Thousands of citizens, activists and supporters of the initiative initially gathered at Skenderbeg Square to continue the march towards the Prime Minister's Office, as has been happening for sixteen days. Under numerous slogans and banners, the protesters demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing the government of a lack of transparency and decision-making to the detriment of the public interest.

Following the tensions recorded the night before near Rinas airport, the organizers have established a new coordination structure for the march. They have requested that the established itinerary be strictly followed and that the march not exceed the Ring Road.

The civic movement that began as a reaction against the tourism project in the protected area of Pishe Poro-Narte and Sazan has taken on a new political dimension. In addition to opposing the investment, protesters are articulating demands for the removal of the government, a review of the legal framework for strategic investors, the cancellation of the Mountain Package, and the repeal of amendments to the laws on Protected Areas and Cultural Heritage.
