Aulon Naçi will be the new director of the National Theater of Opera, Ballet and Popular Ensemble.

The news was announced by the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, in a post on social networks. After Abigeila Voshtina's departure from the leadership position, the TKOBAP institution was led by Naçi.

Aulon Naçi has a rich and distinguished career in the field of music and composition. He completed his studies at the “J. Tomadini” Conservatory in Udine, Italy, graduating with maximum marks and an honorary degree. He then continued his specialization in Belgium, as an assistant lecturer at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels for a year.

His works have been performed and enthusiastically received in a wide range of countries, including Albania, Kosovo, Italy, Austria, Greece, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, Slovenia and many others. He has artistically led numerous activities at home and abroad, collaborating with renowned names on the national and international music scene, as ensembles and soloists.

Some of the most well-known collaborations are with the Kosovo Philharmonic Choir and the soloists of the Teatro Alla Scala Orchestra.

Aulon Naçi has received various awards as a composer and contributor to music, including upon his return to his homeland, such as "Albanian Excellence", "Vela Latina" and "Pride of the City of Vlorë".

In 2023, Aulon Naçi was selected to participate in the prestigious LEAD Albania program, modeled after the White House Fellows program in the US. Also, in May 2024, he completed the Emerging Leaders program at Harvard Kennedy School, gaining training in managerial and leadership aspects.

In the last year, Aulon Naçi has also contributed as an advisor to the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation. He has also been engaged as a lecturer at the University of Arts in Tirana, Faculty of Music for the composition department for 8 years, contributing to building the capacities of young talents.

The selection of the director of TKOBAP was made by a jury, through a platform competition process, formalized with approval by the Council of Ministers, upon the proposal of the Minister of MEKI, Blendi Gonxhja.
