They bullied and shared intimate videos of teenagers on Instagram, 2 girls arrested in Korça

Korça Police announce that they have arrested 2 girls, who are suspected of administering an Instagram profile, where bullying and denigrating photos and posts were distributed.
The 19- and 17-year-old teenagers are accused of the criminal offense of "Pornography with minors." "Two citizens who were bullying and distributing photos and articles with inappropriate content on the social network Instagram have been arrested."
After an in-depth and intensive investigation, conducted by the Directorate for the Investigation of Cyber Crimes in the Criminal Police Department of the General Directorate of the State Police in cooperation with the Korça Local Police Directorate and the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça, the police operation codenamed "CyberShield" was finalized.
This operation came after a complaint regarding the opening of a profile on the social network Instagram, where posts of a bullying and denigrating nature were published, as well as intimate photos and videos of underage girls, students of various schools in the city of Korça, were distributed.
Thanks to the close cooperation of the Cybercrime Investigation Directorate at the Criminal Police Department with the international companies Meta Inc. and Google Inc., the necessary evidence was obtained quickly, enabling the continuation of the investigations and the full disclosure of the incident.
This cooperation has played a key role in identifying the perpetrators and in providing the necessary information to make the arrests. From the intensive investigation, two citizens were identified and detained for the criminal offense of "Pornography with minors", who were involved in this criminal activity:
* P. M, 19 years old, resident of Korça, administrator of the profile created on the social network Instagram, where materials with bullying and denigrating content were published.
* 17-year-old, resident of Korça, who has been identified as the person responsible for the "Tellonym" application, linked to the Instagram profile.
This operation has been an important step in the fight against cybercrime and at the same time a strong message to all those who try to break the law and harm children and young people in the online environment.
The anti-cybercrime structures in the State Police are maximally committed to protecting citizens and ensuring a safe environment on the internet.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korça for further action," the police announced.
