The most wanted policeman Edison Pula, who was arrested a few days ago in Luxembourg, has won the legal battle in the Supreme Court, where the decision that sentenced him to 14 years in prison has been overturned.
Through lawyer Detar Hysi, the much-wanted fugitive who is now under arrest has challenged the Appeals Court's decision that convicted him in absentia for the criminal offenses of premeditated murder, illegal possession of weapons, destruction of property, theft, and leaving the place of residence.
In the disposition obtained by Ora News journalist Edison Vatnikaj, it appears that on July 4, 2024, the Supreme Court issued a decision to once again return the case to Appeal against Edison Pula.
The latter is also known as a master of escapes.
2017: Although arrested and under strict security measures, the 21-year-old managed to escape the police when he got out of the van.
He climbed over the perimeter wall, running away in an unknown direction.
The escape occurred during his transfer from the Fushe Kruja police station to Kruja.
2022: Edison Pula, 27, escaped from Treviso prison in Italy yesterday morning.
He escaped from prison with his 2 friends, but the latter were arrested by the Police.
Edison Pula was suspected, along with 8 other people, of being part of a group that on September 19, 2016, planted explosives in the vehicle of former prison police officer Gentian Bejtja, who was seriously injured.
